If you are annoyed by auto-played videos on Facebook because they slow down your device and drain your phone credits, you can always turn it off any time by going into the "Settings" and tap on "Video" tab from Facebook app.
While you're on Facebook app, click more at the bottom right corner, and scroll down the screen until you find "Settings", tap on it.
Find the "Video" menu inside the settings page.
Inside the video settings, tap on Smart Auto-play.
Slide the "Smart Auto-play" to off mode until you find three options whether you want to auto-play videos every time, or whenever your device is connected to wifi access, or to never play videos automatically.
Tap on "Never Play Videos Automatically".
Tap on Back button to see the effect.
