The tea bag for the first time appeared 1904, when Thomas Sullivan from New York ran his tea and coffee shop business. At first, the tea bags were supposed to be removed before putting the tea dregs into a pot or glass. But people thought that using tea bags were simpler and faster. People did not have to worry of accidentally swallowing tea dregs.
The tea bag is now a standard of most packed tea and made from high quality heat-sealed fabric to minimise losing the original flavour.
