Google Will Shut Down 5 Products

Google, as the biggest company in internet will shut down their product which has little costumers. Google, at their blog says that the technology creates opportunities to increase people's life to higher level, and that's why they need to focus to other products which has a lot of costumers and keep innovating the world, so that they will close those 5 products.

What are those 5 products?

iGoogle, a home page which is intended to bookmark RSS and widget platform. As the technology keeps growing, iGoogle presence is not needed anymore. As it will be shutting down, its users have 16 months from today to export their data.

Google Video, which can be found on http://video.google.com will be also shutting down, as their presence has been replaced by YouTube. Its users have time until August to download back their video and or upload it to YouTube.

Google Talk, this product make possibility for website to embed this chat platform. Google has shut down this product and recommended their users to use Meebo as the replacement of Google Talk. Google had this acquisition about USD 100.000.000

Symbian Search App, a home page for Symbian application is also been removed from Google. The spokesperson says that they recommend the active users to use www.google.com as home page.

Google Mini, an important part of Enterprise Search offer which was introduced at 2005 will be ended by Google as they have other better products that similar to it, Google Search Appliance and Google Site Search.
