Institution called the Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has approved the .xxx domain. The Institute is having authority in the field of domain name what is used around the world.
As quoted from the Telegraph, Saturday (26/06/2010), the suffix .xxx is approved in a meeting in Brussels. Although specific to a porn site, ICANN would not be forced porn sites in other domains to move into the domain.
That is, domain suffixes xxx will not work like a localized area of prostitution in the physical world. This was because in the domain .com or others, pornographic sites are still free to operate.
But on the other hand, sites that use domain .xxx plan will only be filled by those who do business in 'adult industry'. Domain later .xxx will be held by a company called ICM Registry.
