To do this first entry into the registry editor by entering the command "regedit" in windows "Run". The window can be displayed by clicking on "Run" on start menu. After the window "Registry Editor" appears, go to the key "
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop". On the right side window of the Registry editor look for "PaintDesktopVersion".
Make changes to this section by double clicking "PaintDesktopVersion". The next step, the dialog box "Edit DWORD Value", precisely in the "Value data" enter the value "1". Press the "OK", then close the window "Registry Editor". Next restart your computer.
If the above steps you have done, now at the bottom right corner of your desktop will be visible number of your Windows version (build number).
