Hard disk space is the most easy storage exhausted. Various types of files and folders tend to continue to grow every time, plus the growing trend of larger file size.
In order to be frugal, you can use the features of Windows quotas. Basically, this feature function is to provide hard disk space quota for each user. To exploit this, the partition must use the NTFS file system. After that, you can right click the drive that it wants to set quotas. Then select the tab "Quota". Check the "Enable Quota Management" to enable it. Then check also "Deny disk space to users exceeding quota limit".
Click the "Quota Entries" to regulate how much quota for each user. How, from this window, simply click the name of the user who wants to be given quotas. Then arrange the desired large quotas. For example, here is set quota of 100MB for the guest account with 80MB warning level. That is, if the guest user accounts using more than 100MB of space, then the window will pop up a warning that not enough hard disk space again.
Another advantage of the quota, the label that indicates the amount of available hard disk space will change depending on the user's quota. Back to the example above, if the guest user account to open My Computer, then the amount of hard disk space that appear on the screen is only 100MB. So as if its hard disk capacity is only 100MB, although in reality not that big.
The use of quotas would be very helpful, especially for the PC that is shared. With the distribution of quotas, there is no longer expected to 'fight' hard disk space quota, which in turn facilitate system administration.
